The K-Swiss player and NextGen Sports athlete claims the title alongside Javier Collantes

NextGen Sports is proud to announce that our player Sergio Alba has been crowned 2025 Madrid Absolute Champion, delivering an outstanding week of padel alongside his partner Javier Collantes. The duo secured the title with a dominant 7-5 6-1 victory over Víctor Sánchez Vera and Hugo de la Fuente in a high-intensity final held at Club Internacional.

The match began with both teams showing their strength, exchanging lightning-fast volleys and powerful smashes. After an early break from their opponents, Sergio and Javi responded with poise, breaking back and taking the first set in a decisive golden point at 6-5.

They carried that momentum into the second set, breaking serve early to go up 3-1 and never looking back. With confidence and tactical precision, they closed out the match and secured the championship in style.

This marks Sergio’s second Madrid title and Javier’s first-ever appearance in the FMP Honor Roll — a milestone moment for both players.

Sergio Alba: “We kept reminding ourselves to fight for every point — we’re fighters. We found a small tactical edge, believed in it, and it worked.”
Javier Collantes: “Finally! I’ve been playing the absolute championships since I was a kid and never had good results. Looks like I just needed to play on the right side to win it! (laughs). Super happy.”

Congratulations to both champions from the entire NextGen Sports team!
