The 2024 Oysho Valladolid Premier Padel P2 tournament proved to be an exciting and challenging event for our athletes, Álvaro Cepero and Julia Polo, both of whom showcased their talent and commitment in every match.
Álvaro Cepero: Álvaro, alongside his partner Miguel Benítez, faced a thrilling first-round match against tournament favorites Javi Garrido and Álex Ruiz. In a closely contested battle, the final score stood at 6-4, 3-6, 6-3, with Álvaro and Miguel narrowly missing out on advancing to the next round. Despite the result, Álvaro’s exceptional level of play and unyielding determination on the court were evident throughout the encounter. His resilience and competitive spirit continue to define his performance, reminding us that his drive and dedication remain unwavering.
Julia Polo: Julia Polo, competing alongside her partner, made an impressive debut in the first round by defeating the legendary Carolina Navarro and Ariadna Cañellas in a solid match, with a final score of 6-4, 6-4. In the second round, Julia faced a more formidable challenge against the powerful duo of Delfi Brea and Andrea Ustero, who delivered an outstanding performance. Despite a challenging start, Julia and her partner fought valiantly, ultimately concluding the match with a hard-fought 4-6, 6-0, 6-3 result. Once again, Julia demonstrated her tenacity and ability to compete at the highest level, reinforcing her status as a key player in the sport.
